Home Grown Performers

Cool Little Band

Cool Little Band is a 5 piece brass and drums group featuring trumpets, sax, and Sousaphone.

Formed five years ago, they can often be found playing the streets of Hokitika. Their repertoire ranges from rock (The Who, Bad finger) to pop (Queen, Pharrell Williams) to classic favourites (Neil Young, Animals) and 20s jazz

 

Tohora Beats

A Fresh new local group of drumming enthusiasts.

“Tohora Beats” will surprise you with their tricky layered World beats and tapping Pahu vibes. Be sure to catch this Infectious rhythmic fun as we welcome you into Wild Foods Festival!  The Fun and Drum continues with a “Vocal Rhythmic Workshop” come learn out beats by singing them out Loud and proud! Tohora Beats will guide you into a Joyful! Vocal Rhythmic Anthem!

Connor Keenan & the Counterfits

A local Hokitika band who loves nothing more than a good jam session.

Most having played together for over 2 years the mix of Connors Guitar, Liala’s drums, Tim’s vocals and Robs thunderous baseline they are set to take you to new heights with their spice of rhythm and passion.

 

Kokatahi Band

The Kokatahi bands distinctive red and white uniform and unique range of musical repertoire has been an iconic part of the Wildfoods Festival since the very beginning.

The musical tunes from Scotland, Ireland, England, with the odd European one chucked in to add variety is very much in the ‘old time’ category.  The Band plays ‘by ear’, and can entertain the crowd for hours
