Is the Wildfoods Festival family friendly?

Yes Wildfoods Festival is a family friendly event with lots of entertainment for kids of all ages.

In 2016 we are delighted to have a great range of kids entertainment onsite, including professional balloon twister Lolytwist, a merry go round, a bouncy castle obstacle course and even an interactive Wildlife Park courtesy of Arion Farm Education Park for families to enjoy.

What food will available for purchase?

We will have over 50 stallholders on site providing a range of Wildfoods, from gourmet options like game meats, quality seafood, international cuisines, yummy desserts and a traditional Maori hangi, to some downright disgusting delicacies like mountain oysters, scorpions, worms, horse semen and of course the iconic huhu grubs – a Festival favourite.

Check out the link to our Stallholders page for more info on what you could be sinking your teeth into on March 12!

Are pets allowed at the Festival site?

No, we’re sorry, pets are not allowed on site at Cass Square. Sadly, Fluffy will have to stay home and wait for your return to hear all about it!

What else is going on during Wildfoods Weekend?

The Wildfoods Markets will be setting up shop from Friday 11 March – Sunday 13 March on Weld Street in Hokitika. The markets will bring stallholders from near and far to show off their wares, food vendors to serve up some grub while you shop and a range of local acts on stage that will keep you entertained!

Don’t miss Izzy from The Hits West Coast, who will be here to MC our Friday 11 March evening show at the Markets!
